“Diana–2” is an evolution of SZD 56-1 “Diana” model. In the process of its development we were able to practically verify a new approach to design of high-performance sailplanes. Number of original design concepts employed in Diana-1, proven advantageous to alternative modern designs, were carried over and integrated into Diana-2 design.
